Its been a book, its been an opera, and pretty soon it will be a movie. In the meantime, the original picture book lovingly put together by Maurice Sendak has not been out of print since 1963.
Where the Wild Things Are has a place in the heart of many, many people. Max, his wolf suit and his adventures in his imagination make for a timeless story.
The movie certainly does look to be a stunner. In the meantime, the original picture book is selling from our warehouse almost daily. A lot of people are getting their Sendak fix ahead of the movie release on December 3, and let me tell you, they are certainly not all kids.
Meanwhile…this is Spike Jonez’ adventure in imagination.
