Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooner’s Unearthed to be adapted into film.

Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooner’s yet-to-be-released YA sci-fi adventure, Unearthed, will be adapted into a film!

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jez and John Henry Butterworth will be writing the script, scriptwriters of films including Fair Game and Tom Cruise’s Edge of Tomorrow.

Doug Liman, who has directed and produced The Bourne Identity and The Bourne Ultimatum will produce the upcoming film alongside Tyler Thompson.

Described as Lara Croft meets Indiana Jones – in space, Unearthed follows Jules Addison and Amelia Radcliffe who join forces on a newly-discovered planet to unravel the secrets of an ancient, long-extinct civilisation. However, they uncover a revelation that could spell the end of the human race…

Unearthed, the book, is to be released 22nd November, 2017.

Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooner have previously co-authored The Starbound Trilogy together.
